Jack D. Carter, age 94, of Athens, Ohio, passed away November 6, 2023, at Laurels of Athens in Athens, Ohio.
Jack was born September 23, 1929, in Athens, Co to Denver Carter and Leona Carter. Jack was an army veteran with two tours in Germany post World War II. He loved music, singing, playing in his band, and being a Honkie Tonk Boy.
Surviving are his brother, John Carter; nieces, Linda Dupler and Norma Glick; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Denver and Leona Carter; siblings, Barney Anderson, Doris Miller, Bob Carter, and Chuck Carter.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday November 9, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. The burial was in New Marshfield Cemetery following the services in New Marshfield, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Thursday November 9, 2023, prior to the service at the funeral home.
