Mark Allen Kinnison, age 62, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Thursday November 16, 2023, after a long battle with end stage renal disease.
Mark was born February 24, 1961 in Athens County. He was the son of the late Eugene Kinnison and Betty Kinnison of Nelsonville. Mark was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Thrapp; and brother, Michael Kinnison; grandson, Kruz Stobart.
He was a union mechanic through Local 18; was employed at All Crane Rental of Columbus, until becoming sick; member of the Murray City Motorcycle Club, and numerous other organizations.
Mark loved watching all of his grandkids in their sporting activities, He himself loved racing, hunting, being in the garage with the guys, and mostly his nightly rideswith his wife. His greatest joy and accomplishment in life was his family. He poured all of his love into every one of them. None of them would be who they are today without his love and support.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Angie Kinnison; three wonderful kids, Kourtney (Jeffrey) Mitchell of Nelsonville, Chelsey (Johnny) Stobart of Glouster, and Kody (Brittany) Kinnison of Nelsonville; 8 grankids who he loved so much, McKenzie, Jayda, Jace, Tayeler, Karter, Brynlee, Bristyl, and Brody.
There are many people who made an impact in Mark’s life including special nephew Jeremy Thrapp; brother-in-laws Shawn and Scott Russell; and loving friends Duane Gill, Dale Skivers, Jack Williams, Jeff Addis, Roger and Justin Berwanger. A special thank you to his nurse at Shrivers Hospice Karlie Drake, who not only provided Mark with care, but love, compassion, and support.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Randy Smith officiating. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Monday, November 20, 2023, at the funeral home.
