Clark Richard Truax Sr., age 94, of Logan, Ohio, passed away December 8, 2023, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio.
Clark was born November 26, 1929, in Hocking County, Ohio to Ray George Truax Sr. and Anna Miranda Billingsley Truax. He was a US Army Veteran during The Korean Conflict; member of the Columbus Carpenters Union # 200; member of Bricklayers Local #55; a Pilgrim in The Moose Lodge; member of The Eagles; Life member of the VFW and the AMVETS; member of the American Legion; and member of The First Church Praise and Worship Center in Logan.
Surviving are his sons, Clark R. (Diane E.) Truax Jr. of Rockbridge, Curtis L. (Robbyn L.) Truax Sr. of New Straitsville, and Michael E. (Debi) Truax of Virginia Beach, VA.; daughter, Rhonda J. Dodson of Canal Winchester; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Elsie M. Truax; daughter, Deborah D. Truax; brothers, Ray, George, and Emerson Emerald Truax; sisters, Annabelle Riddlebarger, and Blanche Mohler; half-brother, Ernie Parks; half-sister, Jesse Immelt; and son-in-law, John W. Dodson.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Thursday December 14, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Mike Martin officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio where Military Graveside services were conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Calling hours were observed 4-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
