Wade E. Gill, 78, went to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family on July 28, 2015 at his residence in Murray City, Ohio. Wade was born August 16, 1936 to John and Emmaline Gill. He was a life long Ford employee, working at many Ford garages as a Parts and Service Manager; member of the Church of Christ; past master of the Philadorian Masonic Lodge of Nelsonville; and presently a member of the Taramuthia Lodge 25 F & AM in Athens. Surviving are his daughter, Peggy Gill of Murray City; son, Duane (Valerie) Gill of Murray City; grandchildren, Brian (Kim) Withem of Murray City, Amanda (Chris) Robson of Murray City, and Sandy (Wib) Wallace of Nelsonville; great-grandchildren, Whitney (Brandon Black), Breigh (Jacob Blake), Brayden, Corey, Nicole, Christopher, Mya, Hunter, Addison, and Rylee; great-great-grandchildren, Kennedy and one on the way; sister, Mildred (David “Jack”) Shuttleworth of Murray City; special friends, Kay Six, Scott Ledford, Eddie Richmond, Larry Mitchell, and Curt Johnson; and little dog, Harley. Wade was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby Gill, who passed away September 28, 2005; sister, Ruth Grimes; and brothers, Harold, Ralph, Blain, and 2 infant brothers. Funeral services were held 11:00 am Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home Murray City, Ohio. Burial was in Conner Cemetery, Buchtel, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service was held Thursday after calling hours at 8:00 pm. The family wants to give a special thanks to Hospice.
