Albert Eugene Chilcote, age 59, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away October 20, 2023, at the Embassy of Logan Nursing Home and Rehab Center, Logan, Ohio.
Albert was born December 19, 1963, in Logan, Ohio to John A. and Marvene C. Chilcote. Albert was a volunteer fire fighter and member of the Nelsonville-York Band. He graduated from Nelsonville-York High School in 1983; worked for the City of Nelsonville for Several years; and then worked for Hocking Valley Concrete.
Surviving are his mother, Marvene Chilcote; children, Brent Chilcote of Nelsonville, Vanessa Chilcote of Parkersburg, and Ashley (Brian Pitre) Chilcote; grandchildren, Corey, Raylynn, Zander, Iris, and Hazel; brothers, John Chilcote Jr. of Nelsonville and Jason Chilcote of Coolville; sisters, Alberta Royall of Nelsonville and Vicki Barron of Nelsonville; aunts, Mary Chilcote of Rockbridge and Judy Vaught of Glouster; close friends, Alex Lafollette, Lori Lafollette, Trinity McDaniel (and son); and his roommate, David.
Albert was preceded in death by his father, John A. Chilcote Sr. and sister-in-Law, Tammy Chilcote.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday October 25, 2023, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. The burial followed at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed at 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday October 25, 2023, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
