Albert Hauck Sr.

Albert John Hauck Sr. “John the Barber”, 79, of Rockbridge, Ohio passed away March 7, 2018 at Country Lane Gardens Nursing Home in Thornville, Ohio. Albert was born January 11, 1939 in Columbus to Albert and Margaret Hauck. He was a graduate of South High School in Columbus; attended Ohio State Barber College in Columbus; was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a barber for 50 years in the Lancaster area. Albert owned and operated John’s Barber Shop from 1976 to 2013 in Lancaster; and he attended the First Praise and Worship Center in Logan. Surviving are his wife of 9 years Karen Hauck; children, Misty (Tim) Metcalf of Logan, Teri Vickroy of Rockbridge, Albert (Alicia) Hauck of Rockbridge, Connie Morgan of Sugar Grove, Heidi (Clarence) Hartrum of Frazeysburg, Anthony Bussart of Lancaster, Annette Bussart of Lancaster, and Jeffery Bussart of Lancaster; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Meryl) Hauck of Florida, and Tom (Karen) Hauck of Baltimore; and many special friends. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Linda L. in 2002; and brothers and sisters, Merwood (Hermine) Hauck, Dorothy Lauffida, Mertyle (Paul) Cook, Mildred Maxton, Sue Reddinger, and Ben (Peg) Hauck. Funeral services were held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, where Military Graveside services were conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Calling hours were observed Friday March 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 11:00 am to time of service.
