Albert Lee Chorniak

Albert Lee Chorniak, age 69, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away January 24, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.

Lee was born September 16, 1951 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Paul and Lucille Chorniak. Lee worked for 36 years for Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio, and lived most of his life in Vermilion, Ohio. Lee loved riding his motorcycle and paid for his first one while he was washing cars in his youth. He was a basketball referee for 24 years and was a youth sports coach for many years. He always had to have a perfect lawn. He was helpful to everyone and always lending a helping hand.                   

Surviving are his beloved wife, married just short of 23 years, Becky Chorniak; son, Kevin (Danny Bounsavath) Chorniak; stepchildren, Shane (Fay) Collins and Tonya Collins; grandchildren, Shaina and Olivia Collins; great-grandchildren, Sariah McKee and Russel Tivner.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mike and Pat Blaney and Paul Chorniak; and his special pets, Pookie and Thunder.

Funeral services were held privately at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Burial was in New Straitsville Cemetery, New Straitsville, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
