Alvena M. Ice, age 69, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away November 29, 2023, at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.
Alvena was born May 11, 1954, in Columbus. Ohio to Alvin Hanning and Edith Hanning. She loved Ghost Stories and animals.
Surviving are her sister, Tina Hanning; daughter, Shalenia (Paul) Hogle; grandchildren, Randy “R.J.”, Laura, and Lisa; great-grandchild, Brooklyn; brother, Duane (Michelle) Kapan; nephew and nieces, Duane Jr., Kimberly and Shian; sister-in-law, Wendy (Daniel) Cook; nieces and nephews, Lissy (Kevin) Kuhn, Daniel (Alicia) Cook, Brian (Kristen) Cook, and Joey (Tiffanie) Cook; great-niece Kinsley Cook; and great-nephews, Peyton Cook and Waylon Cook.
Alvena was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Ice and her parents.
Calling hours were held from 10 am till funeral services at 12 noon, on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.
