Barbara A. Jones DeLong, age 84, of Logan, Ohio, went trustingly into the hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 30, 2021 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan, Ohio.
Barbara was born July 16, 1937 in New Straitsville, Ohio to Evan and Edith Jones. She was a member of the Capstone Life Tabernacle of Logan; loved singing and playing the piano; and enjoyed caring for and watching her birds.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years Philip DeLong of Logan; children, Philip (Sandie) DeLong Jr. of Lancaster, Debra (Timothy) Bookman of Logan, Stephen (Loreen) DeLong of Logan, and Anthony DeLong of Columbus; grandchildren, Philip Michael DeLong, Timothy Bookman, David Bookman, Tiffani Travis, Melissa Burchfield, Grace DeLong, and Heather Zimmerman; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
A private funeral will be held at a later date with burial being in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. The family requests masks be worn at visitation.
