Betty “Betsy” Lillian Pope, age 80, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away June 8, 2024, at The Laurels of Athens, Athens, Ohio.
Betty was born June 12, 1943, in Logan, Ohio to Dean Kennard and Mary Kennard. Betty loved reading on her kindle and watching her soap operas.
Surviving are her son, Tim Pope; 2 grandchildren, Jessica Pope and Madison Neiberline; 2 brothers, Dean Kennard and David (Paula) Kennard; nieces and nephews, Dean (Amanda) Kennard, Emily (Mark) Campbell, Adam (Brittany) Kennard, and Evan Kennard; and close friends, Betty Joe Dowler and Moe Glanemann.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James Pope; parents, Dean and Mary Kennard; and daughter, Stephanie Pope.
Graveside services were held on June 12, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nelsonville, Ohio, with burial following.
