Betty J. Burgett, 78, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away June 23, 2015 at Fairfield Medical Center Lancaster, Ohio. Betty was born June 6, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio to Wilbert and Marie Legg. She sold Avon for 35 years. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, James H. Burgett of Nelsonville; sons, Wesley G. Burgett of Nelsonville and James D. (Mary Beth) Burgett of Coalton, Ohio; daughter, Starla R. (Larry) Chiki of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Dennis Chiki of Nelsonville, Michael Burgett, Justin Burgett, and Chloie Burgett all of Coalton, Ohio; and she was one of nine brothers and sisters. Betty was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held 2:00 pm Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Jorge Anido officiating. Burial was in New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6-8 pm and Friday, June 26, 2015 from 1:00 pm to time of service.
