Billy J. “B.J.” Dearing, age 42, of Logan, Ohio, passed away August 18, 2021 at his residence.
B.J. was born August 8, 1979 in Athens, Ohio. He was Fire Chief for Good Hope Township for 11 years; worked construction for Spire Paving; loved fire fighting, shooting his guns, and spending time with friends and family; and loved his doggies
Surviving are his loving wife of 7 years, Misty Dearing; sons, Matthew Sutton, Corey Roush, Joshua Dearing, Sebastian Dearing; mother, Peggie Breeze of Delphos; brothers, Charlie (Allison) Dearing of Delphos, Vaul (Betty) Dearing of Michigan, Guy Dearing of The Plains, Nick Dearing of Logan; sister, Shanti Dearing of Delphos; mother in-law Deanna Roush; father in-law Rick Roush; brother in-law Ricky Roush; niece, Makayla Roush; nephew, Trey Roush; many uncles and aunts; dear friends, Robert and Kacey Mitchell of Rockbridge; and dogs, Daisy, Charlie, Marley, and Issabella.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dearing.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday August 24, 2021 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed  Tuesday 10 am – 1 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
