Carolyn Sue Dennis, age 58, of New Straitsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully, to be with her Lord, on April 10, 2023, at home after an extended fight with cancer.
Carolyn was born April 3, 1965, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Charles and Lillian Snyder. Carolyn was a devout Christian and loved working at the school and teaching children at Nelsonville-York City Schools.
Surviving are her loving husband, Randy Dennis; children, Randy (Jessica) Dennis II and Amanda (Tyler) Smith; grandson, “Baby G” Grant Dennis; brother, John (Kim Geary) Snyder; mother-in-law, Carol Dennis; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dog, Jazzie.
Carolyn was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Lillian Snyder, and father-in-law, Leslie Dennis.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday April 16, 2023, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Donald Timmons officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, New Straitsville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed between 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Saturday April 15, 2023, and 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. on Sunday April 16, 2023, at the funeral home.
