Charles Paul “Chuck” Fields, age 64, of Nelsonville, Ohio, died unexpectedly on August 17, 2023, at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio.
Chuck was born March 15, 1959, in Nelsonville. Chuck was Valedictorian of the class of 1976 Nelsonville High School. He loved reading, music, and was an avid cyclist. Chuck was an animal lover who loved caring for his pets. Chuck was a beloved husband to Amy Hoffman-Fields and loved just being with her. She told him how much he meant to her every night.
Surviving are his wife, Amy Hoffman-Fields; brother, Pete Courtney of The Plains; one niece; several nephews; one great-niece; and his cat Essie.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Donna Martin Courtney and Ronnie Courtney; his grandparents; and his special pets, dog- Sarge, cats- Mary Jane, Jack, Albert, Trippy, and rabbit- Alfalfa.
