Charles Wachenschwanz V

On November 30, 2022, Charles “Chuck” Wachenschwanz V, left this earthly realm fulfilling all of his 9+ lives.

He leaves his lifetime of love and humorous stories to his wife, Brenda McKnight Wachenschwanz, of 45 years of marriage, as of November 27, 2022. His sons, Charles (Teresa) Wachenschwanz VI with children: Charles “Chase” VII and twin brother Cade, Hunter, Allie (Raelynn), and Roy; and son Dr. Jeremy (Alyssa) Wachenschwanz with children: Callen and Cameron. And Jeremy (Shannon, Matt) Whiteman, whom he thought of as a third son.

His “older” and “loving” sisters, Charlene Jacobs and Brenda Tolliver (Kris & Ryan McGuire).

His in-laws, Brett (Lissa) McKnight and Heath (Cara) McKnight (Paxton).

A special thanks to Danny Saylor, who was constantly by his side. And his family doctor, Charles Keller, of 36 years.

As ornery as Charles was in life; he was a saved and travelled on to meet his parents, Charles IV and Gloria Wachenschwanz, brother Ronnie, sister Sabrina, niece Katrina McGuire, brother-in-law Darrow Tolliver, in-laws Bill and Shirley McKnight, and aunt Marvelene Smart.

Charles lifetime of stories covered over 30 years of occupations, including constructions and oil wells. He survived multiple car and motorcycle crashes and an oil well explosion; proving that one can have more than nine lives.

If life tells us anything, live it to the fullest with a sense of humor – life happens. So please don’t cry for me because I am gone but instead be HAPPY that I was there.

Arrangements were with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating; visitation was on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 4 to 7 pm at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home and also Monday, December 5, 2022, from 10 am to time of the funeral service at 11 am at the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church. Chuck wishes, after the funeral, were to be cremated.

In lieu of flowers the family ask you to donate to the Nelsonville Hive or to your favorite children’s program.
