Clarence F. “Bill” Hoy, III, 51, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away December 15, 2018 at his residence. Clarence was born April 2, 1967 in Fairfield County, Ohio to Clarence F. and Loretta Hoy, Jr.. He was a member of VFW post #1380 in Lancaster; and loved woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, and being in Florida. Surviving are his wife, Kelly Hoy; children, William Hoy, Anthony Hoy, Heather Hoy, and Melissa Hoy; step-children, Tiffany (Justin) Benedict, Traci Lanham, and Christine Bayer; father, Clarence F. (Dathney) Hoy Jr; mother, Loretta Hall; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Joseph F. (Nikki) Hoy and Robert F. (Angie) Hoy; sister, Lisa Good; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Carol Gibson; brothers-in-law, William Gibson, Frank (Alyssa) Gibson, Rock Gibson, and Stoney (Lyndsey) Gibson; sister-in-law, Tami (John) Mascari; close friends, Carl Majchrzak, and Raymond Koehnle; and his dog and companion Sammy. Clarence was preceded in death by his grandson, Isaiah McConahay; grandmother, Bernadine Anderson; grandfathers, Clarence Hoy Sr. and William Hall; grandmother, Daisy Miller; and three uncles. Funeral services were held at 12N, on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Kevin Seymour officiating. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm and 11 am to 12N on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
