E. Deloris Travis, age 88, of New Straitsville, Ohio, passed away January 11, 2024, at Embassy of Logan, Logan, Ohio.
“Dee” was born September 13, 1935, in Union Furnace, Ohio to Charley E. and Mabel Rardain. She was a 1953 graduate of Starr-Washington High School in Union Furnace; a cook at Nick’s Wineshop, Shake Shop, and Old Dutch; and was a 50-year leader of Cub Scout Pack 40.
Surviving are her sons, Timothy (Mary) Travis of Union Furnace, Mike (Darlene) Travis of New Straitsville, and Charles (April) Travis of Enterprise; grandchildren, Thomas, Bethany, Tina, Michael Jr, and Chris; great-grandchildren, Calvin, Clarissa, Malachi, Dominic, Jaydicie, Stewart, Seth, Natashia, and Dakota; great-great-grandchild, Camrie; sister, Nancy Johnson of Logan; and many nieces and nephews.
“Dee” was preceded in death by her former husband, Tom Travis; life-time friend, Ernie Stilson; and brothers, George and Luther E. “Gene” Rardain.
Calling hours were observed from 3 P.M. to time of services at 5:00 P.M., on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiated.
