Donald E. McGrath, 57, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away August 6, 2017 at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. Donald was born October 19, 1959 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Joe and Betty Mount. Surviving are his sisters, Nancy Auflick of Nelsonville and Kathy (Gary) Starr of Felda, FL; half-brother, Jim (Louise) Mount of Carbon Hill; son, Shawn Whitmer; and special friend, Shane (Audrey Decker) Mitchell. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob McGrath, Steve McGrath, and Michael McGrath; half-brother, Joe Bob Mount; brother-in-law, Dave Balch; nephews, Michael and George Auflick; and sister-in-law, Pearl McGrath. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 11:00 am to time of service.
