Doris Jean Morris, age 97, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away March 21, 2025, at Main St. Terrace, Lancaster, Ohio.

Jean was born July 13, 1927, in Hocking County, Ohio to William Flowers and Melinda “Linnie” Fauble Flowers. She was a 1946 graduate of Rockbridge High School, and a lifelong member of the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, which she was one of the last members.

Surviving are her son, Duane (Velvet) Morris of Rockbridge; daughter, Miriam (Terry) Kraft of Lancaster; grandchildren, Jonathan Kraft, Cindy Kraft, Jason Morris, and Eric Morris; and great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Wharton, Evan Morris, Cyrus Wharton, Hank Morris, and Pepper Morris.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Homer Morris; brothers, Walter, John, Harmon, Carlos, Virgil, Melvin, and William; and sisters, Edna Green, Carrie Anderson, Hazel Bigham, and Velma Vorhees.

Funeral services were held at 1 pm, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor John Williams officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed 11 am – 1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
