Doris Marie Polsley

Doris Marie Polsley, age 96, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on the afternoon of July 3, 2024.  Doris was born May 3, 1928, in Hocking County, Starr Township, Ohio to Milton Rudolph Woodard and Iva Frances (Nichols) Woodard.  She was a longtime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Logan, Ohio. The church was where Doris taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. Besides being a stay-at-home mom for many years, she worked at G.C. Murphy’s in downtown Logan when she first moved to Logan and later in the late 60’s. 

Doris was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a Christian who read her bible daily and was a strong supporter of the Rev. Billy Graham. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack Polsley, the love of her life; her daughter, Debbie (Polsley) Ferbrache; her parents; her two sisters (Charlene and Norma Jean); and her brother, Clinton.

She is survived by her son, Steve (Carol) Polsley of Hilliard; her son-in-law, Doug Ferbrache of Pleasantville; granddaughters, Jennifer (Scott) Adams of Delaware, Renee’ (Joe) Boudreau of Pataskala, and Jana (Lucas) Shaffer of Bexley; grandson, Jonathan (Sara) Ferbrache of Bremen; and 6 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Emerson, Benton, Kristopher, Liv, and Addison; and many nieces and nephews.

We want to thank all the staff at Arbors at Carroll for their wonderful care of Doris, especially Becky Sharp, her Caring Partner.
