Douglas Wayne Headlee, age 69, of Dublin, Ohio, went home to be with His Savior on November 14, 2021 at The Laurels of Athens after a prolonged fight with Parkinson’s.
Douglas was born December 6, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio to John Jacob and Betty Louise Headlee. Doug never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his church, church family, personal family, or friends. He was a member of the Dublin Community Church in Dublin Ohio. Doug was also a devout OSU fan and would never miss an OSU basketball or football game. Doug will be missed by many.
Surviving are his daughter Traci A. (Matthew) Brown; granddaughters, Emmeline A. Brown and Millicent M. Brown; siblings, Dianne K. (Cary) Hammond, Debbra S. (David) Brownfield, and David V. Headlee; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Dublin Community Church, 81 W. Bridge Street, Dublin, Ohio with Rev. Lisa Bowersock officiating. Burial was in Dublin Cemetery, Dublin, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Monday, November 22, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Dublin Community Church. Arrangements by Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.
Everyone was encouraged to wear OSU attire in memory of Douglas at the calling hours and funeral.
