Earl “Derek” Justice, age 41 of Logan Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday May 6, 2023, at his home.
Derek was born October 3,1981, in Logan Ohio to Fred and Vesta Justice. Derek had a love for his family and was a huge animal lover.
Derek is survived by his children, Jace Justice, Zane (Starr) Justice, and Maizie Justice all of Logan; parents, Fred and Vesta Justice of Logan; sisters, Tacie (Matt) Palmer of Logan, Hallie Thomas of Logan, and Traci Reynolds of Lancaster; nephews, Preston Yates of Logan, Stephen Peters of Arizona, Christopher Flowers of Indiana, and Austin Palmer of Circleville; nieces, Cierra (great nephew Braxton due in October) Madison Thomas of Logan, and Kayla Peters of Lancaster; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Justice; girlfriend, Nichole Kilgore; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones.
Derek is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl Frederick Justice; maternal grandparents, Russ and Betty King of Lancaster; uncles, Jody Justice and Mike Huffman; aunt, Sally Huffman; and nephew, Evan Palmer.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday May 11, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio with pastor Steve Palmer officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery, South Bloomingville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday May 10, 2023, and 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Thursday May 11, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, that family asks that memorial contributions be made directly to the funeral home to help offset unexpected funeral expenses.
