Edna Eileen “Dottie” Knapp, 98, of Logan, Ohio passed away April 14, 2018 at The Laurels of Athens, Athens, Ohio. Edna was born March 1, 1920 in Haydenville, Ohio to James Albert and Cora Mae Crane. She was a 1939 graduate of Logan High School; and a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Surviving are her granddaughters, Wendy Jo Peyton of Shawnee, and Kandy Lynn Knapp of New Plymouth; grandson, Gary Knapp Jr. of New Straitsville; great-grandsons, Travis Michael (Paula) Peyton of Malta and Terry Ray Fout of Logan; and special friend, Kathryn Person of New Straitsville. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Harold Knapp, who passed away October 28, 1987; sons, Gary Lee Knapp Sr. and Kenneth Ray Knapp; brothers, George Emerson “Banny” Crane, Willard “Woody” Crane, Harry “Happy” Crane, and Dewey Crane; and sisters, Cora Patton, Susie Crane and Mercie Lehman. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Burial was in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Logan, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
