Eileen Williams, age 89, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away April 1, 2023, at her residence.
Eileen was born December 29, 1933, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Harry Barber Sr. and Wavelene Riser Barber. She retired from Ohio University; was a member of the Nelsonville Episcopal Church; and volunteered at the Nelsonville Food Bank.
Surviving are her son, Brian (Kathy) Williams of Athens; daughter, Betsy Matheny of Nelsonville; grandsons, Brandon (Erica) Williams, Christopher Hall, and Benjamin Hall; and great-grandchildren, Logan Williams, Lucas Williams, and Waylon Hall.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond Sidney Williams, who passed away on February 2, 2023.
The family suggests donations, in Eileen’s memory, to the funeral home to help with Eileen’s expenses.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for Eileen, Raymond, and Brent.
