Eula Ilene Hacker, age 93, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away August 22, 2021 at Arbors at Carroll.
Eula was born October 26, 1927 in Rockbridge, Ohio to Charles Delmer Later and Grace Later. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church in Rockbridge and a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Logan. Eula loved cooking and feeding her family abundantly. She enjoyed sewing, fishing and boating; and played and taught the organ and piano.
Surviving are her son Gary (Marsha) Hacker; grandchildren, Michelle Young, Matthew Hacker, Michael (Jill) Gray, and Matthew Gray (Becca Furman); great-grandchildren, Kylee Young, Conner Young, Clairissa Hacker, Erin Gray, Caleb Furman, and Ethan Furman; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother Earl (Brenda) Later of Rockbridge; and many nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ralph R. Hacker Jr. who passed away in 2000; infant great-grandsons, Curtis Lee and Jesse Lee Young; and sister Jean Canan.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Diora Edgell officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio. Calling hours were observed on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home with a Eastern Star Service being held at 7:00 pm.
