Evelyn F. Bailey, 92, of Logan, Ohio passed away at home with family at her side on July 12, 2018. Evelyn was born January 29, 1926 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Ralph and Mary Hitchings. She was a graduate of Nelsonville High School. She was a wife and a mother to six children. Surviving are her children Beverly (Pat) Chute, Diana Schoonover, John H. (Debby) Bailey Jr., and Tammy (Rodney) Watkins; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a sister Rosezella Shaw of Lancaster. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband John; parents; daughters, Patty Wilkins and Sherry Ann Bailey; grandson Brian; brothers, Eugene and Joseph Hitchings; and sister Rachel Bartow. Funeral services were held at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home Logan, Ohio at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 16, 2018 with Rev. James Mathias officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
