Flossie J. Zimmerman. 96, of New Marshfield, Ohio passed away August 11, 2017 in Athens, Ohio. Flossie was born March 8, 1921 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Homer V. and Nancy Jane Davis. She was a graduate of New Marshfield High School; was a social worker for the state of Ohio; lifelong Democrat; formerly a member of The Eastern Star; and she loved everyone and never met a stranger. Surviving are her sons, Conrad Wesley (Donna) Zimmerman of Athens, and Thomas L. (Patricia) Zimmerman of New Marshfield; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Flossie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Zimmerman; and siblings, Nora Allen, Raymond Davis, Emmett Davis, Flo Jones, and Mary Katherine Anderson. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Monday August 14, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Gary Alton officiating. Calling hours were observed Sunday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
