Floyd Riffle, 79 of New Marshfield passed away Monday January 23, 2017 at his home. Floyd was born February 9, 1937 in Franklin County, Ohio. He was the son of the late Gertrude White Reed. He was a US Army veteran; employed at Gibson International, and Cochran Transportation. Floyd is survived by his wife Barbara Riffle of New Marshfield; children Anna Riffle-Starling of New Marshfield, Fred Riffle of Cincinnati, and Robert Riffle of Tampa, FL; step-children Gilbert Jr. (Jane) Phillips, Pam (Jimmy) Blair, and Tracie Blair; step-son-in-law Paul Chesser; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; mother of his children Patricia Bolin; brothers-in-law, Gene (Shirley) Perry and Joe Bolin; sisters-in-law, Lois (Richard) Phillips and Sharon Perry; and several nieces and nephews. Beside his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter Tammy Chesser; mother-in-law Margaret Perry Bolin; brothers-in-law Richard Perry and Michael Bolin; sisters-in-law Shirley Smith and Betty Dickens. Funeral service were held at 11:00 am Thursday at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville with Gary Alton officiating. Calling hours were held Wednesday 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield, where Military graveside services were conducted by the Combined Color Guard.
