Frank D. Sullivan Sr.

Frank D. Sullivan Sr. 81, of Buchtel, Ohio passed away February 7, 2015 at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio. Frank was born January 31, 1934 in Buchtel, Ohio to Harry and Mary Sullivan. He was a US Army Veteran; retired in 1999 from the Nelsonville-York Schools; formerly worked for 19 years at Columbus Coated Fabric; member of the Buchtel United Methodist Church; and served on the Buchtel Village Council. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Patty Brickey Sullivan, whom he married June 11, 1960; son, Daniel W. (Angie) Sullivan of Murray City; Tammy Sullivan of Nelsonville, who is mother of his grandchildren, Ryan & Darcie; grandchildren, Ryan Patrick Sullivan, serving in the US Air Force in Roda, Spain, Darcie Ann Marie (Victor) Lewis of Nelsonville, and Nicona Cottrill of Nelsonville; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh Smart, and Brantlan Wachenschwanz; brothers, John L. (Prennie) Sullivan of Buchtel, and Bob (Joyce) Day of Nelsonville; sister Dorothy Young of New Marshfield; sisters-in-law, Shirley & Donna Sullivan; brothers-in-law, Curtis (Susie), Bob (Sue), Wes (Pat), Randell (Norma), and Harry Brickey, all of Virginia; special friend, Twinkle Mills of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Penny Smith, and Sadie Anderson of Virginia; special friends, Helen & George Addis, Bev & David Shoemaker, and neighbors, Jim & Judy Doughty; and many nieces and nephews, including Matt & Missy Sullivan, Tim & Gloria Powell, Mike Smith, Tony Smith, Jeff Smith, Terry Allison, Tammy Debord, and Kevin & Missy Wilson. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Guy Day; son, Frank Sullivan Jr.; brothers, Leroy, Malkie, and Gordon Sullivan, and Bill and Jim Day; sister, Charlotte Campbell; sister-in-law, Betty Sullivan; brother-in-law, George Young; father-in-law & mother in-law, Walter & Annie Brickey; brothers-in-law, Lee, Doc, and Ed; and sisters-in-law, Betty Sue, Peggy, and Louise Brickey. Calling hours were observed Wednesday February 11, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, with funeral services at 8:00 pm at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home with David Shoemaker officiating. Graveside services were held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Whitmore Cemetery, Buchtel, with a military service conducted by the Combined Color Guard.
