Fred B. Stumbo, age 80, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away January 9, 2021 at his residence.
Fred was born September 26, 1940 in Grethel, Floyd County, Kentucky to John and Stella Stumbo. He was a member of the American Legion of Logan; attended Shepard of the Hills in Rockbridge; and enjoyed hunting, playing golf and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Stumbo of Rockbridge; children, Fred (Paula) Stumbo II of Pataskala, Thomas (Alyssa) Bates of Rockbridge, and Aaron Bates of Orient; grandchildren, Fred Charles Stumbo III, John Gregory Stumbo, Tyler Kay Marie (Spenser Eldridge) Bates, Brianna Quinn Bates, Ireland M. Bates, Nenagh M. Bates, Fiona J. Bates, Michael T. Bates, Gabriel M. Bates, and Parker A. Fisher; great-grandchildren, Madison G. Eldridge, Zoey R. Eldridge, and Kai T. Stillmen; brothers, Tim (Joanna) Stumbo of Kentucky and Johnny (Vickie) Stumbo of Kentucky; sisters, Midge (Jerry) Imhoff of Iowa, Darlene (Blake) Walker of Kentucky, and Ruth Ann Boyd of Kentucky; and his furry companion She-Ra.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Comes Stumbo, Raven Stumbo, Riven Stumbo, and Joel Stumbo.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
