Gail W. Cox, 79, of Murray City, Ohio passed away March 28, 2015 at Heartland of Fairfield Thornville, Ohio. Gail was born November 3, 1935 in Trimble, Ohio to Daniel and Lura Cox. He was a member of the Murray City Eagles. Surviving are his daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Gallagan of Logan, and Diana Bowen of Logan; son, Steven (Kim) Cox of Columbus; grandchildren, Jaime Whitlatch, Madelyn Gallagan, and Codie Bowen; great-grandchild, Joey Whitfield; sisters, Clara Peach of Glouster, and Linda Dildine of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Sabo, who passed away October 29, 2014; and siblings, Estel Cox, Mary Cox Glisson, Henry Cox, Daisy Cox Conway, Zalma Cox Russell, Jimmy Cox and Tommy Cox. Memorial services were held at 1:00 pm Saturday April 4, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Rodney Rogers officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Saturday 11 am to 1 pm at the funeral home.
