Gary Kevin Bennett, age 70, of Chauncey, Ohio, passed away April 18, 2024, at his residence.
Kevin was born December 12, 1953, in Athens, Ohio to Allen Rodney Bennett and Phyllis Juanita Mayles Bennett. He graduated from Athens High School in 1972; known for running and organizing the Chauncey Dover Spring Festival for 30 years.
Surviving are his mother, Phyllis Juanita Bennett; brother, Rodney (Susan) Bennett; sister, Missy (Bryan) Payne; nephews, Adam (Caitlin) Bennett, Garet Payne, Dru Payne, and Heath Bennett; and a niece, Heather Bennett.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Allen Rodney Bennett; maternal grandparents, Leroy and Delta Mayles; paternal grandparents, Harry and Julia Bennett; brother, Mark Bennett; and infant sister, Constance Mayles.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Andy Stine officiating. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 11 am – 1 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
