Gary Wayne Cummins, age 78, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away July 13, 2024, at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.
Gary was born March 19, 1946, in Logan, Ohio to Wayne Cummins and Katherine Jaynes Cummins. Formerly worked at Carborundum in Logan, Hordis Brothers in Lancaster, and at Titan Doors in Columbus. He formerly attended Immanuel United Methodist Church in Logan; and enjoyed the Cleveland Brown, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cincinnati Reds.
Surviving are his children, Shelly (Jon) Watkins, Brian (Heather Campbell) Cummins, Chad (Bobbie) Cummins, Erick (Amber) Spencer, David (Mandy) Spencer, and Andy (Tara Lynn) Spencer; grandchildren, Nathan, Sami, Jimi, Brandon, Trevor, Sevayah, Isaiah, Miranda, Riley, Peyton, Michael, Blayn, Ian, Rosie, Sophi, Zane, Daisy, Lili, and Vivien; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Aaliyah, Xavier, Charleigh, August, Elaina, Rowan, Paige, Bralynn, and Briar; and other survivor, Sandra Cummins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy Cummins; brother, Ron Cummins; and by Betty Cummins.
Funeral services were held at 1 P.M., Friday July 19, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Jerry McCarthy officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 5-8 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
