Gerald Joseph Bullock Jr., age 47, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly March 14, 2023, at his residence.
Joey was born May 9, 1975, in Athens, Ohio to Gerald and Patricia Bullock. He was very artistic and creative; loved drawing, painting, singing, and making models. He spent a lot of his time outdoors going hiking and walking. However, most of all, he was a loving and caring brother.
Surviving are his brothers, John (Dorothy) Bullock of Nelsonville, and Ricky (Karen) Vess of Logan; sisters, Christina Waits of Lancaster, Bessie McDill of Pennsylvania, and Tracey Hughes of Liverpool, PA; best friend, Josh Smith of Nelsonville; aunts, Helen Dickerson, Gene Dickerson, and Linda (Charles) McKibben; several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews; his loving pets; and his best friend’s dog, Shadow.
Joey was preceded in death by his parents; his loving grandmother, Maggie Blake; grandparents, Julia and Dave Duckworth; brother-in-law, William L. Waits; and several aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be observed from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday April 13, 2023, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. A small celebration of life will be held to share stories at a future date. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio following cremation.
