Ginger Jo Carsey, age 66, of Albany, Ohio, passed away February 9, 2024, at her residence.
Ginger was born August 28, 1957, in Athens County, Ohio to Willard Howard Hart and Leta June Heightland Hart. She formerly worked at Kimes Nursing Home in Athens and retired from Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains, after 37 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Angela Barnhart; grandchildren, Aiden Roush, Nevick Roush and Braylen Shaffer; sisters, Connie (Richard) Frost, and June Tripplett (Delbert Skinner); brothers, Willard Hart, Randy Hart, and Jerry (Mary Ellen) Hart; and longtime friend, sister Candy Taylor.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly Jo Carsey; sisters, Christy Campbell and Mary Tinkham; and life partner, Johnny Johnson.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Gary Alton officiating. Burial was in Hill Top Cemetery, Millfield, Ohio. A gathering with food, was held at the Russell Building in Millfield, following the burial.
Calling hours were observed 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
