Gladys M. Abrams, age 70, of Stockport, Ohio, passed away March 14, 2024, at OSU Medical Center Columbus, Ohio.
Gladys was born June 4, 1953, in Morgan County to Herman and Mona Merrill. Gladys loved to go outside to do her garden work, mow the yard, pull the weeds, and feed the birds. She was an avid horror movie enthusiast; and always lent a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Surviving are her children, Mindy (Brian Russell) Abrams, Bill Hill, Daisy Smith, and Jaime Abrams; 9 grandchildren, James (Larissa) Kidd, Seth Kidd, Henry Southall, Josey Smith, Harley Hill, Dakota Hill, Andie Hill, Gabrielle Gillispie, and Isiah Gillispie; 7 great- grandchildren, Raelynn Kidd, Emmanuel Kidd, Kaleb Kidd, Journey Kidd, Jocelynn Kidd, Hayden Gillispie, and Lydia Hill; siblings, Faye (Ronnie) Bauers, Herman Merrill, Corwin Merrill, and twin sisters; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and beloved cats and dogs.
Gladys was preceded in death by her father, Herman Merrill; mother, Mona Keaser; stepfather, Gerald Keaser; great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Kidd; and siblings, Joan (Dana) Welch and Mona Merrill.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday March 20, 2024, at the Brown Funeral Home in Murray City, Ohio with Greg Marquis officiating. Burial followed at McConnelsville Cemetery in McConnelsville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday March 20, 2024, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
