Gregory Randall Cook, age 84, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away September 12, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Greg was born July 10, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio to Harry Glenn Cook and Mary Magdalene Cook. Greg was a US Army Veteran; member of the Free Mason and the AmVets; worked for Columbia Gas; loved music, the outdoors, and OSU; and coached softball.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Cook of Logan; daughters, Carrie (Geoff Porter) Cook-Porter of Logan and Peggy (Donald) Cook-Wooten of Lancaster; grandchildren, Rachel Stilwell, Mitchell (Brittany) Cook-Solt, Cailin Cook-Porter, Avery Cook-Porter, McCray Wooten and Zachary (Nikki) Wooten; great-grandchildren, Lyra Solt, Lincoln Solt, Dyanna Wooten and Lilly Wooten; brothers, Larry (Elaine) Cook, Tim (Paulette) Cook, and Alan Cook; and many nieces and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amy Allison Porter; and granddaughter, Camille Cook-Solt.
Funeral services were held at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. John Williams officiating. Military Services were observed prior to the funeral service, by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Calling hours were observed 1-3 and 4-5 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home.
