Helen Coak, age 88, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away June 20, 2022, at Arbors of Carroll, Carroll, Ohio.
Helen was born April 9, 1934, in Lancaster, Ohio to Carl South and Mini South. She was a member of the Bremen Bible Holiness Church and attended Samaritan Center in Lancaster.
Surviving are her sons, Charles (Shada) Peck of Thornville and Michael John (Tracie) Butcher of Lancaster; 3 daughters; granddaughter Kaylee (Johnny) Jones of Grove City; great-grandchildren, Kian John and Chase Thomas Jones; brother John (Tanina) South of Rushville; sister Mona Denner of Lancaster; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special recognition of friend and caregiver, Terry Jackson-Seaux, for the many years of faithful care and love of Helen, which far exceeded the scope of her normal duties.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Brandon Butcher; and siblings, Evelyn, Carl, Ann, Betty, and Jean.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery, Bremen, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 11:00 am to time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
