Hubert E. Dalton 60, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away May 9, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Hubert was born December 19, 1955 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Joe and Kathleen Dalton. He was retired from AEP after working for 36 years; social member of the VFW #3467; donated regularly to Nelsonville Food Bank; did a lot of brick and cement work around Nelsonville; and loved woodworking and fishing. Surviving are his son, Hubie (Candace) Dalton of Columbus; daughters, Rebecca (Bruce Steenrod) Dalton of Nelsonville and Amanda (Kevin Wiseman) Dalton of Nelsonville; granddaughter, Morgan Dalton; grandkitty Popcorn and grandpuppy Butterfinger Dalton; siblings, Mary Jane Lax of Nelsonville, Lucretia (Lloyd) Crihfield of Nelsonville, Judy (Mike) Crihfield of Nelsonville, Connie (Gary) Hazlett of Nelsonville, Cathy (special brother-in-law Jarrett) Stage of Nelsonville, and Susan (John) Whitmore of Parma; special nephew, Rob (Missy) Kuhn of Nelsonvlle; special friend, Mary Burchfield; and several nieces and nephews. Hubert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joey Dalton; brothers, Charles, Tommy, and Joe Dalton; sisters, Rebecca Steenrod and Elizabeth (Dave) Lewis; and nephews, Adam Dalton and Doug Mace. Funeral services were held 11:00 am Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
