James Alfred Skinner, age 92, of Logan, Ohio passed away on November 6, 2022, at the home where he had lived since 1945. He was born August 16, 1930, to Clarence and Ozilla Schaal Skinner.
Jim was a lifelong farmer, raising sheep, cattle and poultry. He gave devoted service as a Soil Conservation District Supervisor, Farm Bureau Council member, and 4-H Youth program leader in Hocking County. Jim organized the Union Furnace Livestock 4-H Club and was a club advisor for 54 years. He graduated from Union Furnace High School in 1948. He served in the Ohio National Guard and the United States Army.
Jim is survived by Mary Lewis Skinner, his loving wife of 66 years. He is also survived by his children: John (Susie) Skinner, Janet (Grant) Grooms, James (Diana) Skinner, Joseph (Carmen) Skinner, and Jean (David) Libben. Jim is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great grandchild soon to arrive.
Jim is preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Jene Ann Skinner Roach, and brother Keith Skinner.

As per Jim’s wishes, his body has been donated to The Ohio State University Medical School.
