James W. Holland Jr, age 68, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away September 28, 2019 at Hickory Creek, The Plains, Ohio.
James was born June 28, 1951 in Nelsonville, Ohio to James W. Holland Sr. and Phyllis (Pickett) Holland. He was a graduate of Alexander High School and attended Tri-County Career Center; U.S. Navy Veteran; was a member of the Amvets Post #76; worked at Athens State Hospital and the Beacon School Bus Garage; and played in two bands called Idol Country and Lodi.
Surviving are his children, Jeff Holland, Jeremy (Melissa) Holland, Amy (Brian) Wetzel; grandchildren, Jacob , Paul & Nathan Holland, and Benjamin & Anna Wetzel; sister Dea (Dow) Smith; and niece Kelsie Smith.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield, Ohio. Military service will be held at the cemetery.
