Janet “Fern” McCoy, age 77, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, on May 8, 2021.
Fern was born June 26, 1943 in Pennsylvania. She was self employed as a business owner. After retirement she belonged to the Moose Lodge and the VFW; and enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
Surviving are her daughter Jo Anne Copeland of Nelsonville; sons, Tom (Cathy) Hart of Hilliard, and David (Lisa) Hart of Wilmington; grandchildren, Kelly Lowery (Evan Speelman) of Nelsonville, Barry (Tina) Lowery of Glouster, and Jeremy Tabor of Phoenix, AZ; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Lucy) Holbrook of Grove City and Jack Holbrook of Portsmouth; sisters, Pamela Ruth Bullock of Grove City and Katherine (Jimmy) George of Missouri; 14 nieces and nephews, with a special mention of Sheila Holbrook; and special friends, Marcie & Ron Stuart of Wilmington.
Fern was preceded in death by her father Holbert Holbrook; mother Ann Burchett; step-father Raymond Burchett; step-son Ron McCoy; brothers, Roger (Pat) Holbrook, and Joe Holbrook; and an infant sister Patricia Burchett.
There will be a Life Celebration at a later date.
