Jean Ann Fraizer Lantz passed away November 20, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born January 10, 1943, in Logan, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Nellie Cecil Fraizer. She was the widow of Donald James “Jim” Lantz Jr. who passed away in 1978.
Jean retired from Smead Manufacturing Company after over 30 years of service. She graduated from Logan High School, class of 1960. She was a member of the Rockbridge Advent Christian Church and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.
She is survived by daughters, Susan (Dean) Jenkins of Grove City, Lucinda (Dave) Berry of Logan, and Melinda (Eric) Thompson of Logan; son, D.J. (Rhonda) Lantz of Logan; grandchildren, Kristan Jenkins, Matthew (Julie) Jenkins, Jacob Berry, Trista Thompson, Carley Thompson, and Brock Thompson; great-grandchildren, Zane, Xavier, and Zoe; brother, Tom (Kathy) Fraizer of Bellefontaine; sister, Susan (Harry) Robison of Logan; sister-in-law, Sharon Fraizer of McArthur; nieces, Karin (John) Moughler, Jamie (Aaron) Chesser, Brandie (Billy Keynes) Shirey, and Sherolin Fraizer; nephews, Dustin (Miranda) Robison, and Adam Fraizer; several great nieces and great nephews; and special friends, Rick and Melanie Hacker.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Fraizer; grandparents, Rudolph & Florence Fraizer, and John & Jessie Cecil; and a nephew, Noah Jacobsen.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, at 11:00 am, November 27, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan with Pastor Diora Edgell officiating. Interment was in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, Ohio.
Calling Hours were observed 2-4 & 5-7 pm Sunday November 26, 2023, and 10-11 am Monday at the funeral home. Sigma Phi Gamma Memorial service was held at 7pm Sunday.
Jean suggested memorial contributions be made to the Rockbridge Advent Christian Church or Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.
