Jeffrey Ray Jones, age 62, of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones, on March 22, 2021.
Jeff was born June 7, 1958 in Logan, Ohio to Pauline and Norman Jones. He was a 1976 graduate of Logan High School; owned and operated A-1 improvement for 30 years; later went to work for Crown Cork and Seal; and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Logan and the Tri-County Coon Hunter’s Club.
Jeff was a dedicated husband, father, and papaw. He treasured his family and embraced every moment spent with them. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sportsman and collector. Jeff’s easygoing personality made everyone around him feel at ease and he made friends everywhere he went.
Jeff was a devoted husband to wife Tammi for 41 years; loving father to Angie (John) Klingelhafer of Rockbridge and Kelli Townsend (Tyler Walsh); and was papaw to Lauren, Ben, Isla, Dom and Kavik. Also surviving are brothers, Jack (Sue) Jones of Logan and Kenneth (Bev) Jones of Logan; half-brother Danny Jones; sisters, Shirley Jones of Columbus and Donna Mullaney of Burlington, MA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ben and Anita Johnson of Slidell, LA; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Tammy) Johnson and Ben (Crystal) Johnson all of Picayune, MS; and sister-in-law Donni (Rick) Lind of Slidell, LA.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents; brother Tony Jones; and brother-in-law Joe Mullaney.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Friday, March 26, 2021 from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
