Jerry Wayne Largent, age 72, of Logan, Ohio, passed away March 2, 2023, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.
Jerry was born July 25, 1950, in Vinton County to Irene Davis and Patrick Arthur Largent. Jerry was a past member of the Logan Kiwanis for many years and helped with several events hosted by them. He was an active member of the Rebels for Jesus bible study group and the Hocking Hills United Methodist Church. He owned the J-Lar Inc., a construction company, that built numerous homes around Hocking County, and most recently, he worked for the HAPCAP/Logan Public Transit.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sue Swain; brother, Harry Arthur Largent; children, Kathy Largent-Koch and Serena (Randal) Largent-Malone, Sandra (John) Largent-Williams; mother of his children, Lois Elaine Hutchinson; 8 grandchildren, Kaliegh Koch, Eric (Angela) Malone, Brittany Gill, Levi Koch, Lauren Wharton, Colton (Aly) Wharton, Jazmine Jacobs, and Tia Anthony; numerous great-grandchildren; longtime friends, Georgeanne Engle and members of Rebels for Jesus bible study group.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 siblings: Donna Largent-Okazaki, Patrick “Gunner” Arthur Largent II, Beatrice “Beann” Largent-Courtney, and Barbara “Kay” Newman.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Monday March 6, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Charlene Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery.
