John “Butch” Tomassetti, age 68, of Glouster/Wooster Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2020, at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio, with his wife Sheila by his side.
John was born September 14, 1951, to John and Lillian Tomassetti. John loved the Lord, his family, friends, cooking, and music. John was absolutely incredible on the guitar, as he was a songwriter, worship leader, and a prayer warrior. He was a kind, generous soul, who truly cared about everyone he encountered. John never met a stranger, as he deeply enjoyed fellowship with others.
John is survived by his wife Sheila (Hatch) Tomassetti; daughter Rhian Tomassetti; son Tyler Anthony; many grandchildren, Mykah Tomassetti, Arashel Holland, Dakari Parker, Lillean Rose Parker, Mandi Shamhart, Brandi Shamhart, Steven Shamhart, and Sierra Shamhart; brother Mark (Sharon) Tomassetti; sister Jane Tomassetti-Moldenhauer; and step-sons, Scott (Stacey) Shamhart and Steve (Amber) Shamhart.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life was held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Cornerstone Harvest Church, 8780 OH 78, Glouster, Ohio, 45732, with Linda Berry officiating. Friends and family were invited to speak if they would like.
