Joseph L. Carrel, age 46, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away January 21, 2020 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.
Joseph was born December 28, 1973 in Lancaster, Ohio to Homer Doug Carrel and Thelma M. (Frank) Carrel. He loved the outdoors and his cows and loved going to auctions.
Surviving are son Dokata Cook; his mother Thelma Carrel; brother David Carrel; his cows, Red and Blackie; uncles, Ronnie, Marvin, and Robert Frank; aunts, Linda Frank, Lucille Shaffer, Elsie Wilson, Joyce Strosnider, and Rose Hines; and many nieces and nephews; friends, James (Teresa) Azbell, Ben, Berry, and Rob Bowers.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father Homer Doug Carrel; grandparents Homer & Etta Frank; and uncle Homer Frank Jr.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dave Edgell officiating. Burial was in Morgan Chapel, Rockbridge, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 3-6 P.M., and on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to time of service at the funeral .
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
