Joyce E. Wharton Bailey, age 72, of Logan, Ohio, on June 11, 2022, transitioned into the peace of eternity after a courageous battle with cancer.
Joyce was born August 29, 1949, in Lancaster, Ohio to James Wharton and Norma Jean Roop Wharton. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her grandchildren as Mimi. Joyce was a 1968 graduate of Berne Union High School; was a private transporter for Logan-Hocking Schools for 20 years; member of the Fairview United Methodist Church; Co-owned and operated Bailey Concessions, with her husband; and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She was a hard worker in the family restaurant and the concession business, until her illness.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Michael Bailey; son, Anthony Bailey; daughters, Heather (Brandon) Imler and Hilary (Shane) Poulson; and grandchildren, Myers and Ellis Poulson and Henry, Nora, and Hattie Imler.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law & mother-in-law, Rolland & Mary Bailey.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Monday June 20, 2022, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. John Williams & Pastor Bev Stahr officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday June 19, 2022, at the funeral home.
