Julia Charlotte Kinnison, 88, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away April 1, 2015 at Logan Health Care Logan, Ohio. Julia was born May 7, 1926 in Floodwood, Ohio to Ted and Edna Hughes. She loved quilting with her sister and blind father. Surviving are her sons, Sam Kinnison of Nelsonville and Leonard Kinnison Jr. of Nelsonville; son-in-law, Richard Ritz; grandchildren, Sonya (Bill Wright) Hook, Nina (Calvin) Chalky, Matthew (Carrie) Ritz, John (Lisa) Hurtado, Michael Meissner, Annalisha Kinnison, Desiree (James) Urbach, Kelli (Kevin) Lowery, Sheila (Jason) Pickering, Bryan Kinnison, Joey Kinnison, Steven Kinnison, and Sarah (Dakota) Mash; granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Vanfossen; many great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Bell, and special friend Louise Wilson-Kasler. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Nancy Ritz; grandson Christopher Ryan Vanfossen Kinnison; and siblings, Wesley Hughes, Bea Jones, Dorothy Phillippe, and Jerry Hughes. Calling hours were observed Friday, April 3, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Warren-Brown Funeral Home. The family wants to send a special thanks to the staff at Logan Health Care Center.
