Karen Jane Hollis

Karen Jane Hollis, age 76, of Logan, Ohio, passed away June 1, 2021 at Riverside United Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Karen was born May 7, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to David E. Friece and Mary Friece. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking, watching the home shopping network and spending time with the youth. Karen was selfless and was always thinking of others.                    

Surviving are her children, Lisa (Rick Delong) Hollis, Dean Jr. (Teresa Villarreal) Hollis, Richard (Sherry) Hollis, Tina (Tim) Voit, Robert “Bob” (Rhonda) Hollis, and Tom (Amanda) Hollis; grandchildren, Angie, Justin, Adam, Hayden, Zach, Paige, Andrew, Heather, Jacob, Nick and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Aubry, Reece, Brayden, Hunter and soon to be Liam; siblings, Marilyn “Sue” (John) Kelly, John (Brenda) Friece, Brenda (Teresa Embry) Jenkins, and Barbara Randall; many old friends from New Albany and Westerville area; and her pets, Mister Simply and Miss Kitty.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Friece; siblings, David “Bud” Friece, Rosemary Birdwell, and Doris Eichensehr; and father of her 6 wonderful children.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 11:00 am to the time of service.
